The Power Users Update: Custom Link Views, Smarter Delimiters & More

InterLinks Development Team

Over the past month we shipped a run of releases aimed squarely at our heaviest users — merchants managing hundreds or thousands of internal links. The Power Users Update bundles them all: the brand-new Link Activity Report, custom views on the Links page, smarter keyword delimiters, a cleaner Link List, and a more reliable CollectionSync.

If you run a large catalog, you live inside the Links page. You filter, you sort, you bulk-edit, and you expect those tools to keep up with the size of your store. This update is our answer to the power users who pushed InterLinks hardest over the last month — and told us exactly where the friction was.

Everything below is live in your app right now. No action needed; just open InterLinks and the new tools are waiting on the Links page and in your import flow.

A special thank you to the merchants who sparked this update: Accu-Machine gave us the idea for the new Save Filtered View feature, and Learn Strings • Harvey String Arrangements suggested the new extra delimiters. It's customers like these who help make InterLinks as robust as it is — thanks for the suggestions!

✨ What shipped this month

📊 New: Link Activity Report

Scan your entire catalog to see exactly where your keywords are linking — URLs, instance counts, density, and coverage at a glance.

🗂️ Custom Views on the Links Page

Build, name, and save your own filtered views of the Links page so the list you need is always one click away.

➕ New Delimiters: Tab & Semicolon

Paste keyword lists that contain commas without breaking them apart — switch to tab or semicolon separation.

🐛 Link List Update Fixes

Edits, status changes, and new links now reflect in the list immediately — no manual refresh required.

🔄 Improved CollectionSync

More reliable collection link handling with fewer duplicates and cleaner create/update/delete behavior.

📊 New: The Link Activity Report

The headline addition this month is the all-new Link Activity Report. Find it under Link Activity in the navigation menu. With one scan, InterLinks crawls your entire store catalog — products, collections, pages, and articles — and shows you exactly which keywords are linking and where they're appearing across your store.

See your linking at a glance

  • Linked URLs — every URL where your InterLinks keywords are actively occurring
  • Total instances & active keywords — know how hard your internal linking is working
  • Density & average per URL — spot over- or under-linked pages instantly
  • Catalog breakdown by Products, Collections, Pages, and Articles

Built to scale, cached to stay fast

Large stores can hold thousands of URLs, so the report processes your catalog in batches with live progress and caches the results for instant loads on every visit. When you want fresh numbers, hit Refresh Data and watch the scan run in real time.

It's the fastest way to answer the question power users ask most: "Where are my links actually showing up?"

🗂️ Custom Views on the Links Page

The single most requested tool from our power users is here: save your own custom views of the Links page. Instead of re-applying the same filters and sort order every time you sit down to work, set them up once and save the view. Your filtered, sorted slice of the catalog is now one click away.

Built for big catalogs

When you're managing thousands of links, scrolling isn't a strategy. Custom views turn an overwhelming list into a set of focused, purpose-built workspaces you can jump between instantly.

➕ Smarter Delimiters: Tab & Semicolon

Bulk-adding keywords got smarter. Until now, keyword lists were separated by commas — which is a problem when your keywords contain commas (think "boots, womens" or "hats, caps & beanies"). You'd end up with the wrong keywords split in the wrong places.

The problem

  • Comma-only splitting
  • Keywords with commas broke apart
  • Manual clean-up after every paste

The fix

  • Choose a tab delimiter (paste straight from a spreadsheet)
  • Choose a semicolon delimiter
  • Keep commas inside your keywords intact

Copy a column straight out of Google Sheets or Excel and it just works — tabs keep each cell as its own keyword, even when individual keywords contain commas. For lists you keep in text, the semicolon option does the same.

🐛 Link List Update Fixes

We hunted down a class of bugs where changes you made didn't immediately show up in the Links list. Add a synonym, change a status, create a link — and the list (and its totals) sometimes stayed stale until you refreshed the page.

What's better now

  • Edits and status changes reflect in the list immediately
  • Keyword + synonym counts update without a manual refresh
  • Newly created links appear right away
  • Fewer "did that save?" double-takes

It's the kind of fix you shouldn't have to notice — the list just stays in sync with what you did.

🔄 Improved CollectionSync

CollectionSync keeps your collection links in step with your store as collections are created, renamed, and removed. This month it got more reliable under real-world conditions.

Cleaner create / update / delete

  • Fewer duplicate links from overlapping events
  • More predictable handling when a collection is renamed
  • Reliable cleanup when a collection is deleted

If you rely on collections as a core part of your internal linking strategy, this is a quiet but meaningful reliability upgrade. Want the deep dive? Read our CollectionSync overview.

It's already live in your app

Open the new Link Activity Report to see where your keywords are linking, build your first custom view on the Links page, and try the new tab and semicolon delimiters next time you bulk-add keywords.
