InterLinks Integrates with Shopify Sidekick: Ask About Your Automatic Links in Plain English
Shopify merchants can now ask Sidekick, Shopify's AI assistant, which keywords are linked, what points at any product or collection, and where their best linking opportunity is — and get an InterLinks answer without leaving the admin.
OCTOBER 13, 2026 (INDEPENDENCE, OREGON) — InterLinks, the leading Shopify app for automatic internal linking, today announced its integration with Shopify Sidekick, the AI assistant built into Shopify admin. Merchants can now ask Sidekick questions about their keywords and automatic links in everyday language and receive answers drawn directly from InterLinks, with a link that opens the exact page in the app.
Sidekick is quickly becoming the way merchants get things done in Shopify. With this integration, InterLinks becomes part of that conversation. A merchant preparing a new collection can ask what already links to it. A merchant writing a product description can ask whether a phrase is linked anywhere. A merchant with ten minutes to spare can ask for the best linking opportunity in their store and act on it immediately.

What You Can Ask
The integration adds a set of InterLinks tools that Sidekick calls when a merchant's question is about keywords, automatic links, or linking opportunities. No setup is required beyond having InterLinks installed. Some of the questions it answers today:
🔍 "Is 'silver bracelet' linked anywhere?"
Sidekick confirms whether the keyword has an automatic link, where it points, its status, and how many matches it has across your store.
🧭 "What links to my Summer Sale collection?"
Name the product, collection, page, or article by its title. Sidekick lists every keyword that links to it.
📊 "How many automatic links do I have?"
Total keywords, how many are active, and what changed in the last two weeks.
⭐ "Find me the best linking opportunity."
Sidekick returns InterLinks' top pending suggestion — the keyword, where it would link, and how many matches are waiting — with a Create Automatic Link card that opens it in InterLinks.
Merchants can also ask "What does my InterLinks URL report say?" for a summary of where their keywords appear across the storefront, or ask about any product or page by name to see what points at it.
From Question to Link in the Same Session
When Sidekick surfaces a linking opportunity, the merchant is one tap from acting on it. The Create Automatic Link card opens a focused page inside InterLinks showing the destination, its image, the keyword, and the opportunity size — matches found and pages where the keyword already appears. Pressing Create Automatic Link turns every mention of that keyword into a link to the destination, exactly as it would from the Link Suggestions page.
Everything Sidekick reports comes from the merchant's own InterLinks data. The integration is read-only by design: Sidekick answers and points the way, and InterLinks remains the place where links are created, reviewed, and managed.
Why It Matters for Merchants
For stores with hundreds or thousands of keywords, knowing what is linked, what is not, and what to do next has always meant opening the app and searching. Now the answer is a sentence away, from any page in Shopify admin. Teams that split time between products, content, and marketing can check InterLinks the same way they check orders or inventory: by asking.
The integration is available now to all InterLinks merchants on stores where Shopify Sidekick is enabled. InterLinks will continue to expand what Sidekick can answer as merchants put it to work.
