When you install InterLinks, you authorize the following OAuth scopes:

• read_themes: Inspect your theme's settings (to inject/remove our ScriptTags or optional CSS).
• unauthenticated_read_content: Read publicly available pages, blogs, articles, and other storefront content.
• unauthenticated_read_metaobjects: Read any metaobjects in your store (we log link and usage data as metaobjects).
• unauthenticated_read_product_listings: Read product titles, URLs, and collection assignments.
• unauthenticated_read_product_tags: Read tags on products for keyword‑based linking.
• write_metaobject_definitions: Create or update the definition of our link‑and‑analytics metaobject.
• write_metaobjects: Create, update, and delete individual metaobject records (link logs, time‑saved metrics).

2. Information We Collect

We use those permissions to collect the data necessary for InterLinks' features:

• Store Content & Products: Pages, blogs, products, collections, and tags to generate and manage internal links.
• Theme Data: Current theme ID and settings to inject, update, or remove our ScriptTags and optional CSS.
• Metaobjects: Link events, performance metrics, and 'time saved' calculations stored as Shopify metaobjects.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Automate internal linking by analyzing content on the fly.
• Power your in‑app dashboard with analytics (total links created, best‑performing links, time saved).
• Manage ScriptTags so our JavaScript only runs while the app is installed.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve app performance via error logs and usage metrics.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. All information stays within your Shopify Admin and our encrypted systems.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

• While Installed: We retain metaobjects and ScriptTags indefinitely for reporting.
• Upon Uninstall:
  • All ScriptTags and injected CSS are removed immediately.
  • We delete your metaobjects and analytics data within 30 days of uninstallation.

For immediate deletion requests, email support@getinterlinks.com.

5. Data Sharing & Third‑Party Services

We only share data to:

• Comply with legal obligations (e.g., subpoenas).
• Prevent fraud or protect our rights.
• Assist Shopify support if you request their help.

You may:

• Export your reports directly from the InterLinks dashboard.
• Delete link configurations or analytics data manually or by uninstalling.
• Opt‑out of non‑essential emails via the 'unsubscribe' link.
