General Settings

Configure the core functionality of InterLinks, including the master switch, targeting options, and language preferences.

Enable InterLinks

Master switch to activate or deactivate all automatic linking on your store

CSS Selector

Specify which HTML elements InterLinks should scan for keyword matching

Default: article

Common selectors: article, .product-description, #main-content

AI Language

Choose the language for AI-powered keyword suggestions and content analysis

AI will generate keyword suggestions in your selected language

Interface Language

Set the display language for the InterLinks app interface

Changes will apply immediately to all app screens and messages

Pro Tip

If links aren't appearing on your store, first check that InterLinks is enabled, then verify your CSS selector matches your theme's content container.

Page Visibility

Control which page types display your internal links. Enable or disable linking on specific content types to fine-tune where keywords are matched and linked.

Blog Posts

Display internal links within your blog article content

Product Descriptions

Display internal links within product description content

Pages

Display internal links on static pages (About, Contact, FAQ, etc.)

Collection Descriptions

Display internal links within collection page descriptions

Enabled

Links will be automatically injected when keywords are found in the content.

Disabled

No links will appear on this content type, even if keywords match.

Note

Disabling a page type will not delete your existing links - they simply won't be displayed until you re-enable that content type.

Link Visibility

Control how frequently keywords are linked and customize the visual appearance of your internal links.

Link Frequency

Determine how many times each keyword gets linked within a single page.

Once per page

Each keyword is linked only once per page, regardless of how many times it appears. This creates a clean, non-repetitive linking pattern.

First X occurrences

Links the first N instances of each keyword. Configure the exact number using the occurrence limit.

Occurrence limit: 3

Scattered

Distributes links evenly throughout the content using a scatter coefficient.

Scatter coefficient: 5

Multi-language / Localization

Enable support for stores with multiple languages. Preserves locale prefixes in URLs (e.g., /fr/products/...).

Case Sensitivity

Control whether keyword matching considers letter case.

OFF Case Insensitive

"Running Shoes" matches:

ON Case Sensitive

URL Exclusions

Prevent InterLinks from adding links on specific pages.

Add URL or pattern to exclude

Use * as a wildcard. Example: /blogs/* excludes all blog posts.

404 Detection
